Remarks by Ambassador Malefane on the occasion of the price giving ceremony at the South African Golf Tournament, Ankara, Turkey 26 April 2017

Good evening ladies and gentlemen.

It has indeed been a great day for the South African Diplomatic Mission in Turkey, the city of Ekurhuleni, the Ankara Golf Club, Turkish Airlines, Arcelik, Defy, Indian Company and all the players that took part in the event.

The event was well attended and I must admit that I saw today a number of players that surely can compete with the best in the world. Some of you sadly elected to pursue wrong careers as evidenced by your capacity and ability on the Golf Course, you should have been champions of major titles as we speak.

Allow me ladies and gentlemen to congratulate all the winners in advance even before the announcements are made. I look forward to seeing all of the winners at the BMW Golf event in South Africa next year.

This is not a political event hence I will be very short. I wish to thank all our sponsors once again in being part of an incredible day of fun. After the price-giving please enjoy the dinner and authentic South African music.
