2020 Mining Indaba was held on 3-6 February 2020 in Cape Town, South Africa.The African Mining Indaba is the world’s largest mining investment conference, dedicated to the capitalisation and development of mining in Africa.

 The Conference aims to drive the mining industry forward, provides attendees with an unmatched access to the entire value chain and the most influential players in African mining industry.

Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Gwede Mantashe said “South African mining has great benefits for investors and South Africans across the value chain. In 2019, in response to the President’s R1 trillion Investment Drive, the Department granted 28 new mining rights in coal; iron ore; manganese” at the 26th Investing in Africa Mining Indaba 2020.

SA’s Izmir Honorary Consul, Mr Tamer Taskın led Team-Turkey on a business visit to South Africa. The team is made up of 22 CEOs and industrialists’ and they also attended the Mining Indaba 2020. The primary reason for the visit is to seek new trade and investment opportunities in mining and other sectors.
