National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, is the day when the Turkish Grand National Assembly was established in Ankara by the country's founding father Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The founding father Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, dedicated this day the 23rd of April to the children of Turkey as he understood the future lies with children. This day is celebrated annually and is indicative of an important milestone in Turkish history.
