Mandela's Suitcase Exhibition
South African Embassy and Cankaya Municipality celebrates the Centenary of Nelson Mandela with the “Mandela’s Suitcase” Painting Exhibition at Zülfü Livaneli Culture Center, Çankaya Ankara
The Exhibition will be open from 4 -27 September 2018 to public from 09:00-20:00.
The collection by Ernst August Quensen “Mandela's Suitcase” is roving all over the world with İbrahim Karaoglu as the Curator.
The collection contains the paintings by artists Günter Uecker, Sol Le Witt, Jörg Immendorff, Jean Miotte, Allen Jones, Sokari Douglas Camp, Mo Edoga, Esther Mahlangu, Mickael Bethe Selassie, Owusu Ankomah, Nils Burwitz, Nam June Paik is placed in a wooden suitcase produced by Owusu Ankomah for Mandela.
The South African Embassy and the Çankaya Municipality will also celebrate South Africa’s Heritage Month in September. Heritage Month recognizes and celebrates the cultural wealth of the nation.
