The Mayor of Cape Town , Patricia de Lille and her delegation visited the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu. The Mayor of Izmir was glad to host the delegation who have come to promote their city and to improve their tourism potentials. Mayor Kocaoglu also indicated that he was very impressed with the presentation of Cape Town and added that he will be visiting Cape Town as soon as possible. The Mayor of Cape Town indicated that she liked Izmir very much and felt herself at home and emphasized her happiness in being in Izmir.

The Mayor of Cape Town indicated that their target is to improve the existing tourism potential and added that since the seasons are opposite February is the ideal month to visit Cape Town and indicated that there are no visa requirements for Turkish citizens.
