Foreign Minister Davutoglu signs the book of condolences for Nelson R. Mandela
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu signed the book of condolences for Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa at the Embassy of South Africa in Ankara on December 10, 2013.
In his message noting that South Africa and the world have lost a great leader, who devoted his life to his ideals, to the service of his people and to ideals of humanity Foreign Minister Davutoğlu conveyed the immense admiration for a courageous leader and his fight against racism and inequality, his struggle for freedom and justice.
Stressing that Mandela was an African soul reflecting the traditional African philosophy, “ubuntu” that emphasizes tolerance, compassion, acknowledge that of others Foreign Minister Davutoğlu said that his immense contribution to his country and to Africa will always be cherished.
