As part of navigating the Turkish economic landscape, and in search of potential investors, Trabzon is our economic diplomacy city of the month for December. Mr Tshepo Ranamane, Charge d’affairs met with the President of Trabzon Industrial Zone on 18 December 2019.

Mr Ranamane shared info on investment opportunities per sector, incentives, SA's unique export products and the general economic performance in domestic and international context. Both look forward to increased trade and investment relation.

Mr Tshepo Ranamane also met with Mr Mustafa Suat Hacisalihoglu, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Trabzon. The two discussed means and ways for Trabzon Chamber to collaborate with South African chambers, highlighting the ease of doing business in South Africa.

Mr Tshepo Ranamane and Prof Dr Hikmet Oksuz, Deputy Rector of Karadeniz Technical University discussed academic opportunities for South African students and possible cooperation in scientific research at a university level.
