"BE THE LEGACY"

South Africa commemorates Heritage Month in September and celebrates Heritage Day every year on the 24th of September.

Heritage Month and Day  recognises and celebrates the cultural wealth of South African nation. South Africans celebrate the day by remembering the cultural heritage of the many cultures that make up the population of South Africa. Various events are staged throughout the country to commemorate this day.

This year The South African Embassy will commemorate the Heritage Month and Day by opening a "Mandela's Suitcase" Painting Exhibition from 4-27 September at Zülfü Livaneli Culture Center o create awareness on South Afrcan rich culture and promote the Centenary year of Former President Nelson Mandela under the theme "Be The Legacy" throughout 2018.
